This autumn, from our new studio in Dartington village, Radical Ecology will be initiating a space for practice and inquiry into the relationships that connect dream and time and place and art.

Loosely informed by the social dreaming matrix, a method invented by psychoanalyst W. Gordon Lawrence in the early 1980s, as well as by our ongoing inquiry into deep listening and environmental justice, the project aims to establish a consistent setting for the sharing of dreams in the belief that beyond personal meaning, our dream-lives, when reflected collectively, also hold truths of the social, political and ecological planes of our existence.

We anticipate participants coming into the space with a prior interest in dreams that might have been derived through any number of earlier experiences. There may have been exposure to or even mastery of specific psychoanalytical or spiritual disciplines but you may also be simply someone who dreams and is keen to listen more deeply to your dreams and the dreams of others.

We hope that by bringing diverse participants together, what will emerge is a community of practice capable of thinking across disciplinary silos and even beyond interpretation to instead listen to what the dreams of our community have to tell us about what is emerging in time and space.
